Artist Statement

As a painter and trained musician, my work translates the rhythms of nature into visual symphonies, where color, texture, and form echo sound and movement. Inspired by water, stone, and sound, I explore the deep harmony between

earthly elements and their unseen energies.

Using knife painting, layered textures, and water-based techniques, I create immersive compositions that invite the viewer to experience art as sound and sound as art. Each painting unfolds like a melody—a silent rhythm that resonates with the soul.

Education & Influences

  • Raised in a culturally rich family rooted in Gandhian values.
  • Father: Dr. M.B. Shah, an award-winning Hindi writer honored by three Presidents of India.( shree- Shankardayal Sharma, Shree-Gyani zail singh, Shree-Abdul Kalam)
  • Mother: Rajashree Shah (Usha Kirtane), a renowned singer and composer.
  • Inspired by  music, nature, and the evolving passage of time.

 Artistic Approach

  • Mediums: Acrylic, oil, ink, and mixed media.
  • Techniques: Knife painting, textured layering, water-based effects, and dry brush methods.
  • Themes: The interplay of sound, energy, time, and nature.
  • Signature Style: Abstract compositions with rich textures and a luminous interplay of color and form.

🎨 Painting Process

My creative process is deeply intuitive and rooted in emotion. I begin each painting with a meditative connection to sound—often classical music or natural ambience—which guides my rhythm and palette. I use a variety of acrylic techniques to create layered, translucent effects, manipulating water and texture to build emotional depth. Sometimes I paint with knives, at other times with brushes or unconventional tools—each mark reflecting an impulse, a memory, or a feeling. I work in silence or with sound, letting the canvas evolve naturally, allowing the work to reveal its own language over time
